Testimonials

‘We are extremely grateful to have found Sarah to help our son with his English GCSE studies. Her knowledge and expertise have enabled our son to focus on what is relevant to an examiner and where our son can pick up the most marks. Sarah provides excellent resources, our son still goes on about the context one. She sets achievable, interesting and relevant homework tasks, and provides a relaxed but highly appropriate plan to work towards his exams. Our son feels 100% more confident. Highly recommend. Many thanks, Sarah.’

Mr and Mrs Harris, August 2024

My experience:

I love teaching; I love getting the best out of every student.

I’ve worked in education for over 25 years, teaching English to 11 to 18-year-olds in state and independent schools. For 12 years, I led market-leading English and literacy training, attended by over 10,000 teachers, and Oxford University Press published my resources. I’m an examiner for AQA and Edexcel. I was Head of English in one of the UK’s leading schools, and I’m particularly proud of improving the GCSE results across many schools by as much as 30%+ (e.g. improving the pass grades from 69% to 92%).
